Doggy Attractions

Post by Sarah Rogers (Doodledoos) on Mon Jun 30, 2008 6:41 pm

At the risk of being rather rude, I am wondering if any of you have male doodles that show signs of being attracted to the fairer sex (or anything else that moves) at an early age and any funny stories you might have.

I was reading last night about someone who had a rather randy dog and happened to see him trying to mount his neighbour who was bending down on all fours doing a spot of weeding at the time. He apologised profusely to his neighbour and her husband (who incidentally could hardly speak for laughing so much) and explained that at just 6 months old he was a little young to be showing such laddish behaviour. To which the husband replied "Oh - think nothing of it - we'll let you have first choice of the puppies!!"

Thought you might like that one! Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed What a Face

Hi Sarah,
Josh had a large furry duck he won at a fair when he was little. Toby took an instant liking to it and proceeded to show his admiration for it regularily from being a very small puppy ( Do you like the phrasing?). He was at it all the time causing amusement when we had visitors. When he couldn't find the duck (I hid it) he scrunched a blanket up! Neither of them moved though! I was in stitches when a neighbout called to see Toby and I asked Josh where he was, Josh said 'Oh he'll be here in a minute, he's just bonking his duck." Then a few weeks ago Toby lost interest and hasn't bothered since.

What a good job he said 'bonking'!!!
It's interesting that it was just a phase too - as very often about this age they can get very interested in the fairer sex - or in Toby's case, fairer duck!

Well don't know what Rubys excuse was, she used to have a her 'favourite' teddy, thankfully she has stopped doing that, until Scruffy arrived and she tries it on with her, the girls seem to find it amusing!!!! - it can cause a few embarrising moments and questions Exclamation Exclamation

It's odd that the girl dogs do it too, my mum's last girl dog used to have a go at everyone's arm who came in if she got the chance. When we saw her launching herself at some unsuspecting victim we used to grab her, they used to say things like, 'Oh isn't she sweet', not realizing what she was about to do!
But yes, with small children Dawn it can get embarassing. We used to tell Josh she has an itch!
Cheers bounce

I got very embarrassed yesterday. I met an old school friend walking her spaniel. She ran up to Toby wanted to play (Meg the spaniel not my friend). I let Toby off the lead, they ran around the field playing while we chatted. You can guess what he tried to do next... he didn't succeed, he appeared to be concentrating not quite in the right place!!!! I of course had to shout, grab him, put him on the lead whist my friend kept saying she thought Meg wasn't in season. Oh dear. Embarassed

Scooby met a miniature Scnhauzer the other day and the guy let her off the lead to play. Scooby immediately started trying to hump any part he could get hold of, mainly her head. The owner got very upset and started ranting that she is just coming out of season. I wanted to tell him he was a fool for letting her off the lead then, but all I could do was laugh, which of course made him worse. When I finally caught Scooby I was at least able to reassure him that Scooby has been neutered. Good job really or we may have ended up with a mini Australian Schnoodle.

Yes Carolyn - laughing was probably the best thing to do in that situation!! He should have had more of a sense of humour - especially as Scooby had got the wrong end!!

Hi everyone.
Yes I am ashamed to admit Daisie does it too. Every evening at about 7 pm she puts her toy pheasant on her bed and mounts it! Embarassed scratch Shocked
And the other day in the woods a large golden retrever jumped up at my husband, put its paws on his shoulders and did it to him! It's owner was mortified! Mick was in shock and I was collapsed with laughter! Laughing
